What is Kendal Sporting?

‘Kendal’ is a dream come true for the sport of shooting in Barbados and is the island’s best kept secret. Launched in December 1999, Kendal is now a leading sports venue on the island. Located away from the hustle and bustle of Bridgetown, this beautifully restored World War II building, boasts a relaxing atmosphere amongst plush gardens. It is safely nestled in 72 majestic rural acres near Carrington, in the parish of St. Philip.

Visitors and locals are welcome to participate in shooting activities while our certified instructors and highly experienced coaches, assist the novice to experienced shooter in experiencing the enjoyment this fantastic sport.

Kendal’s focus is not only on shooting.

The Flying Rabbit Restaurant prepares sumptuous dishes to please and tantalize your taste buds while relaxing in our breezy, open-concept clubhouse. With seating for 70 persons or more, the panoramic view of the St. Philip countryside, from the clubhouse, soothes your mind while the helpful waitstaff cater to your needs. Its well stocked bar seats 21 comfortably, and includes a large screen satellite television for viewing sports such as the Grand Prix for the sporting enthusiasts.

The swimming pool, complete with a wet-bar, lounge chairs and deck tables is pleasurable for the entire family. Saturdays and Sundays will find children playing on the lush lawn that stretches east of the clubhouse, while their parents and friends enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. Other activities include billiards, darts, table tennis, dominos and board games.

Kendal is the perfect location for business meetings, corporate functions, staff retreats, team building exercises, wedding receptions, parties and other social functions.

Yearly membership to nationals, residents or companies who are keen on furthering their shooting practice is available. Kendal’s membership enables frequent patrons to receive shooting, both shotgun and pistol, at a reduced cost, as well as allows for participation in its other activities at a reduced rate.
