Results Handgun competition April 27th 2008
Sean Banfield continued his good shooting in our 2nd match for the year. This was an outdoor competition shooting from 25m, 20m, 15,10, & 5. James A. Bradshaw also did well just 2 points behind Sean and was leading up to the 5m AOF. Jason West came 3rd with a respectable 226. Amanda Corbin won 1st place ladies with 217. Very good, since Amanda has only been shooting for about 6 months. So a very hearty well done to every one and we look forward to seeing you at our next match on July 13th. Until then be sporting!

Results 100 bird sporting April 20th 2008
With the arrival of some new traps we were able to put in an additional three stations for the sporting 100. Two battieu machines allowed me to have a pair of skippers that crossed off the water. Although a bit irregular depending on the wind it was a fun station. Chris Armstrong top scored at this station shooting 6x8 where most shooters averaged 3. Well done, it did take somewhat of a creative stance but it worked. Michael Gooding prevailed again in both high gun and handicap with 73x100 & 97 respectively. James R. Bradshaw tied for 2nd with Sean Banfield on 66, after a shoot off at the tower station James beat Sean for 2nd and also claimed 2nd in handicap. Bruce Skeete had a few problems in the early stages sorting out his left and rights ended up shooting very well to take third in handicap, well done. Well guys you know handicap points will take some hits for next shoot so practice up.
High Gun
| 1st | Michael Gooding | 73 |
| 2nd | James R. Bradshaw* | 66 |
| 2nd | Sean Banfield* | 66 |
Handicap

5 Stand Update
James A. Bradshaw started with a bang top scoring in the first rounds of 5 stand, however in the 2nd round Michael Gooding & Peter Gonsalves reeled him in returning some good scores & now lead by 4 points. James is currently in 3rd & Kirk Cozier 4th. With two more to go everyone is still within reach. Never give up, focus & determination will pull through, but don’t forget to flow. Next 5 stand is on May 18th be sporting!

Scores were a little lower than our last competition, but it was the first in ‘08! So, better next time although that will be outdoor & should present more of a challenge. Congrats to our winners, especially Mark who has only been shooting a short time & turned in a good score for 2nd. Place.
Ladies scores were also lower but there again probably due to lack of practice. Our top lady shot Marissa Bradshaw is M.I.A. for now (making babies) so we wish her well & hopefully see her in the near future. There are also some new lady shooters in training who will soon be joining the competitions.
Next pistol comp. Is on April 27th. Until then Be Sporting!

Club Shoot Pistol Competition Nov 17th ‘07
Extended over two weekends because it poured with rain on the 17th a total of 18 shooters took part so I was quite pleased at the turnout. Remember it’s important that members take part in the competitions, as they are good exercises for your gun control shooting under competitive pressure.
The competition was keenly contested with Sean Banfield & Marissa Bradshaw tying for first place on 250 points each.
As we had a ladies division we did not force a shoot off but next year we will obviously have to include a high gun prize, watch out guys!
In the ladies division Sandie Soodeen was 3rd scoring 184, Allison Niccolls 2nd with 219 & Marissa Bradshaw 1st 250. Both Sandie & Allison did very well for their first competition, congrats.
Sean Banfield took first in the gents with 250, Ryan Brooker & James R Bradshaw tied for 2nd & after a shoot off Ryan beat James to retain 2nd & James 3rd respectively. Greg Sealy also put in a good showing with a 241 for 4th.
The falling plate was great fun to watch & we saw some good shooting. A James Bradshaw exercised very good control taking down all his plates in three consecutive rounds to hold 1st place, Sean Banfield was 2nd & Allison Niccolls who only took down one plate in her first round took down all ten in her two consecutive rounds to nab 3rd. great stuff!
All in all I thought it was a good shoot & we look forward to the battle of the sexes next year!
Hope everyone has a great holiday season,
And as always ‘Be Sporting’

November’s 100 bird sporting ‘07
It was another beautiful day in Barbados with 18 shooters taking part in our 100-sporting clays tournament. Pity we did not see more shooters cause I thought it was a really well-balanced course. Those that took part assured me they had a really good time.
High Gun
With the absence of our March champ Mr. Kirby, Mike Gooding took first place with a score of 70, he was a little handicapped since his regular clay gun had some problems, nevertheless, as usual he performed well with a loaner.
James R. Bradshaw held 2nd with 63 & Kirk Cozier came out of retirement came 3rd scoring a 60.
Handicap
Marissa Bradshaw, our lone lady shooter shot a 45 for high gun ladies & took 1st place in handicap with a score of 93. Marissa shot 100% better than her last 100 sporting well done, but her handicap will take a few hits! James R. Bradshaw came 2nd with 91 also showed some improvement increasing his target count by 11 over his last shoot. Mike Gooding was 3rd with 90.
Over all scores were somewhat better but still not seeing what I have been accustomed to in the past, just a thought.
Many thanks to everyone who took part & we look forward to our next shoot in the New Year.
As we are nearing Christmas we would like to wish you all a not too stressful holiday season.
And remember “Be Sporting”.

Scores could have been a bit better, but a lot of shooters were pretty new to the game & I am sure will improve as I have seen them do over the past year. Special congrats to Brian Walcott who took home the award for most improved shooter & Marissa Bradshaw our lone lady shot. Watch out guys!!
Congrats & thanks to everyone who took part, we look forward to the next one..
As most of you know we will close for the first three weeks in September. Our first tournament after holidays will be a 100 sporting in November, might be wet & wild! Will keep you posted.

SHOT !!
Kendal Sporting 100 Sporting Tournament
In this year’s February tournament there was a total of twenty-five shooters.
Although more were expected we were very pleased with the turnout and I was
very happy to see those familiar faces I haven’t seen in a long time.
This day started a bit cloudy with a few showers in the morning but cleared
up quite nicely. By all reports shooters found the course a bit tough,
however, I would prefer to say it was testy but only at certain stations. In
my walk around behind squads I thought some shooters were just trying too
hard, rather than trying to establish a lead many were tracking.
Congrats to the winners and I hope for improved scores next time.
As mentioned on this day at the prize giving the 5 Stand Competition
commences on March 18th 2007 with 50 targets each month and concludes in
June. We will be sending out more information on this as well as posting it
on our website.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this tournament and to our spectators
who made it that much better. We hope to see you all again soon.
BE SPORTING!!!!!
